Mechanical Engineering Student at UCI

I am a Mechanical Engineering student at UCI. As of now I am in the process of looking for an engineering internship. I aim to take my first step into the automotive and motorsports industry, furthering my engineering skills and passion for competition, cars, and racing.

My recent work involves the aerodynamic component RDM for UCI's FSAE EV Racing team, autonomous rover/robot design, and multiple roles in team management roles. I am most proficient in CAD modeling and mechanical design work.

FSAE Aerodynamics

Research and designed FSAE aerodynamic components utilizing Solidworks (CAD, CFD, FEA,) Ansys CFD, and NX FEMAP softwares. Utilized F1 design and Race Car Aerodynamics by Joseph Catz in R&D work. Collaborated with colliques and subteams for part integration and rules compliance. Primarily designed nosecone and underbody components for 2025-2026 Megazott FSAE car. Megazott officially made it through tech inspection at Michigan FSAE competition under all regulation and rules towards aero components of the car.

FSAE Aerodynamics: Composite Manufacturing

Performed full-cycle composite manufacturing for FSAE aerodynamic body kit. Implemented CNC and 3D printing manufacturing into team mold production. Utilized carbon fiber wet layup techniques with vacuum bagging for part manufacturing. Collaborated with the team to manufacture the entire carbon fiber layup aerodynamic kit for the car.

Autonomous Pneumatically Powered Robot

Developed a mechatronic ESC pneumatically powered piston robot in a team of 3 for a 250 student race competition. Under $50 financial and rule constraints, manufactured wooden chassis, 3D printed gear based powertrain and 3D printed Ackermann steering system, ending with rover in the top 10% of speed in class. Designed SolidWorks CAD assembly with animations of powertrain and steering achieving 0.1mm tolerance design.

Autonomous PixyCam2 Rover

Contributed as a mechanical/robotics engineer with a group of 5 in creating an autonomous color tracking rover. Programmed and calibrated a servo motor for a robotic gripper to enhance retrieval accuracy of color-coded objects utilizing electro optical camera (PixyCam2) and IR sensor with Arduino in C++. Integrated electronics onto wooden chassis utilizing hardware tools and soldering.
